Get 'hands on' with Publicus
InfiNet and SAXoTECH Invite You To Attend A Free Seminar
You are invited to attend a special hands-on, in-depth product demonstration of the Publicus Online Publishing System. The event will be held on May 10th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (lunch provided) at the Marriott Inn and Conference Center on the campus of the University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, MD.
This is a unique opportunity for you to see and experience the capabilities and possibilities available with Publicus - the premier online publishing system focused solely on the needs of newspapers.
Your Press For The 21st Century
Publicus is a dynamic, database-driven content management system for all kinds of electronic publishing formats (HTML, WAP, email, WML, etc.) and initiatives (ecommerce, banner ads, classified ads, guides, newsgroups, etc.). Unlike other content management solutions, Publicus was designed to integrate with your existing workflow and is intended to automate most of the online news production processes.
No other content management system currently available has been successfully integrated with so many newspaper front-end systems (both editorial and advertising). Publicus can automate the process of publishing content created with systems from many different vendors, including: Agile, Atex, APT, ATS, Baseview, CCI Europe, DTI, net-linx (SII and C-Text), Mactive, Modulo Systems, OpenPages, and Unisys.
Engineered To Be A Managed Service
From the beginning, Publicus was engineered to be offered as a hosted application. Through the InfiNet/SAXoTECH partnership, newspapers can reap the benefits and efficiency associated with Publicus without any of the headaches. Hardware, database, and application maintenance, as well as upgrades, monitoring and support are all managed by InfiNet utilizing InfiNet's robust, redundant environment.
A wide range of Publicus add-on modules have been developed over the years to enable newspapers to quickly and simply deploy rich, interactive local news portals. These include:
- Query Module for polling
- Agenda Module for event scheduling
- Multi-Channel Module for wireless and handheld devices and email publishing
- Forums Module for threaded discussion groups
- Guides Module for entertainment and business directories
- E-Commerce Module for online sales
- Multimedia Module for audio and video publishing
The Publicus seminar will take place at The Inn and Conference Center at the University of Maryland University College, located in Adelphi, Maryland. The University College campus is conveniently located 12 miles from downtown Washington, D.C., 35 miles from Dulles International Airport, 30 miles from Baltimore-Washington International Airport, and 20 miles from Washington National Airport. Hotel rooms are available.
