Danish company finds success in other parts of the world
In 1992, SAXoTECH's founders saw a growing need for a new, standards-based pre-press solution. From day one, the
development philosophy of the company has been to work in close cooperation and collaboration with our publishing partners in order to best design the functionality of our systems.
SAXoTECH A/S was incorporated in 1993. Within three years, the company had become the preferred content management system supplier to the Danish newspaper market.
In 1996, SAXoTECH initiated an internationalization process in order to ensure the steady growth of the company through the penetration of new markets.
SAXoTECH had its first sale in Norway in the spring of 1997, and the first Swedish customers were signed in 1998.
In early 1999, SAXoTECH founded its North American subsidiary, SAXoTECH, Inc. Unlike many other European companies that have struggled to build a business in the United States, SAXoTECH's U.S. operation has experienced continuous and significant growth since its inception.
Expansion continued in 2001 when saxotechonline.completed a merger with the Norwegian company, WebPlan A/S - the developer of the Publicus Online Publishing System. SAXoTECH and WebPlan had worked together since the end of 1999, and the two companies' products have proven to be very competitive in Scandinavian and North America.
