Canadian Media Company, Gesca, Expands Investment in SAXOTECH Mediaware Center

Tampa, Fla., August 31, 2010 – SAXOTECH, a leader in content management and ad solutions, announced today Montreal-based Gesca, publisher of seven daily newspapers and one of Canada's premiere media companies, has expanded its usage of the SAXOTECH Mediaware Center to include Quebec's Le Soleil.

Le Soleil will be the fifth Gesca publication to take advantage of unmatched efficiency and production speed designed for multi-channel publishing. The SAXOTECH Mediaware Center will bring Gesca's print and digital publishing together, allowing its media properties to produce and share news content in a streamlined and collaborative environment. The additional Gesca properties currently live on the SAXOTECH Mediaware Center platform are La Presse (Montreal), Le Droit (Ottawa-Gatineau), Le Quotidien (Saguenay) and La Voix de L'est (Granby).

All of Gesca's newspapers will have access to organization-wide assets utilizing the SAXOTECH Mediaware Center enabling all users to pool their resources for regional and national stories. In addition to the centralization of content management, each publication will be able to maintain the editorial flexibility and creativity associated with each market's individual needs.

"Since 2005 we've been proud to support Gesca's print and digital publishing needs for hundreds of journalists and multi-media content producers," said senior vice president of sales, Jesper Frank. "Providing centralized access to all assets streamlines workflow while supporting collaboration and the creative process."

The SAXOTECH Mediaware Center will provide Le Soleil's content producers and editors with a wide array of tools to plan stories and manage content based on resource availability. By managing each new story from conception through multi-channel delivery in the same system, producers will realize unsurpassed productivity – extending content and enhancing news publishing operations.

"We are pleased to expand our partnership with Gesca, one of Canada's leading publishing groups," said Anders Christiansen, CEO, SAXOTECH. "Gesca has a solid history of news reporting and we are confident Le Soleil now has a solution that empowers better control of their production processes.
