Hallingdølen Integrates its Print and Digital Operations with SAXOTECH’s Comprehensive Multi-Channel Publishing Solution

Aalborg, Denmark – November 21, 2011 – SAXOTECH, a leader in content management, circulation and advertising technology, announced today Hallingdølen has selected the SAXOTECH Mediaware Center to enable workflow and content distribution for both print and digital channels. The intuitive, feature-rich solution will provide the Norwegian media company with innovative publishing tools needed to achieve greater operational efficiency as well as create new products and increase revenue.

Hallingdølen has implemented SAXOTECH's multi-channel publishing products across all four of its media properties, greatly improving overall collaboration and asset sharing. Newsroom staff will have the same advanced planning, writing and editing functionality for Web content that it has used for print content management.

“The SAXOTECH Mediaware Center gives us the ability to develop efficient workflows for multi-channel publishing all through one centralized system,” said Bjarne Tormodsgard, chief editor, Hallingdølen. "By having the flexibility to distribute on-demand subscription-based content to both print and digital channels, Hallingdølen offer its readers more choices for consuming valuable news and information, and provides advertisers exciting new options for targeting and engaging their audience.”

The SAXOTECH Mediaware Center’s One Touch Publishing will enable Hallingdølen to publish content in new ways that reach readers who are more mobile and tend to get their news in digital formats. Content producers can send breaking news or valuable offers to any mobile device or tablet, including the Apple iPad, within the same layout and workflow environment used for editorial production. Combined with greater subscription management control, Hallingdølen will be able to pursue new monetization strategies with both advertisers and readers.

"Hallingdølen has become one of the most efficient media houses in Norway, publishing to both print and digital channels,” said Baard Mo, regional business manager, SAXOTECH. “We are confident that the features and functionality of the SAXOTECH Mediaware Center will ensure Hallingdølen reaches their goal to produce and publish in the most dynamic and efficient way possible. We congratulate Hallingdølen on their 75 year anniversary and wish them continued success."
