PressPublica Modernizes its Newsroom with SAXOTECH's Multi-Channel Publishing Solutions

Aalborg, Denmark – November 5, 2012 – SAXOTECH, a leader in content management, circulation and advertising technology, announced today that PressPublica has upgraded its SAXOTECH Mediaware Center platform to the newest release including the digital publishing component.  The Polish media company has made a strategic move to optimize content creation throughout its six newspaper and magazine properties.

PressPublica will leverage its existing SAXOTECH technologies, as well as take advantage of greater digital capabilities with SAXOTECH online Web services to better reach news consumers based on their personal preferences. Whether readers prefer reading news and information on the website, via RSS, on handheld devices or via other rich media formats, SAXOTECH will provide the flexible production tools needed to serve high volumes of content to multiple digital channels, with the simplicity of One Touch Publishing.

"Our goal is to create a system that isn't only a 'one-channel' system, but a flexible set of tools which allows us to export any content to any digital channel," said Sebastian Krause, IT project manager, PressPublica. "Bringing our print and digital operations together will enable us to quickly realize greater operational efficiencies and our newspaper sites will have the ability to have greater audience reach."

PressPublica's move to implement modern publishing technologies will enable all of its sites to bring the newsrooms’ print and digital publishing together, creating many efficiencies of a deeply integrated newsroom managed from one central publishing system.

“Adding the digital component to PressPublica's SAXOTECH suite of products will complete their transformation to a more modern newsroom with multi-channel capabilities,” said Jesper Frank, director and senior vice president, EMEA, SAXOTECH. “By bringing their print and digital systems closer together, PressPublica will be more efficient and their newsroom staff will be able to seamlessly deliver content to multiple platforms, saving time and creating new revenue opportunities."
