Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad and Smaalenene Medier sign deals to buy SAXoPRESS
SAXoTECH A/S, the leading editorial system provider in Scandinavia, announces that the company has signed contracts with two newspapers in Norway, for delivery of complete SAXoPRESS Publishing Systems. Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad and Smaalenene Medier will begin publishing with SAXoPRESS in the first half of 2003.

These two orders mark the first results of the recently established framework agreement between A-Pressen AS, the largest newspaper company in Norway, and SAXoTECH. The two companies signed an umbrella agreement in July 2002, which gives SAXoTECH access to at least 27 percent of the Norwegian newspaper market.

"SAXoPRESS was chosen in Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad and Smaalenene Medier as we have evaluated this system to be the system most suited to renew and modernize the editorial production flow," said Tormod Melnæs, Media House Manager for Ostfold/Follo. "We have an ambition to establish a more planned production, and in this work the SAXoPRESS Planning Module and the layout tools in SAXoPRESS will be essential for our two companies."

"We are very happy that Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad and Smaalenene Medier now have chosen SAXoPRESS as their new editorial production system," said Baard Mo, Norwegian Market Manager for SAXoTECH. "Our new customers in Ostfold have an ambition to create a modern media house with a workflow focused on the future. We are convinced that SAXoPRESS is the right choice for them to achieve that."

The 35-seat implementation project will begin immediately at Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad, with the expected objective of going live on March 1, 2003. Smaalenene Medier, also 35-seat system, expects to start up the implementation project in the second quarter of 2003.
