Production system was `unanimous' choice of Orkla newspaper users
SAXoTECH A/S announces that the Norwegian media group Orkla Media AS has signed an agreement to install the SAXoPRESS Publishing System in all 28 of their Norwegian newspapers.

"We have chosen SAXoPRESS, as this system solves the challenges Orkla Media faces now and in the future," said Geir Garo, IT Manager at Orkla Media. "SAXoPRESS allows more effectiveness in all processes related to the editorial functions."

According to Garo, the end users made the decision. "The approval of the decision [to purchase SAXoPRESS] has been unanimous in all internal forums in Orkla Media. The system also meets the demands Orkla Media has toward cost reduction."

"This agreement with Orkla Media Norway demonstrates that SAXoTECH can meet the significant demands and requirements of a major media group," says Anders Christiansen, CEO of SAXoTECH A/S. "This is a very large win for SAXoTECH in Scandinavia."

The agreement with Orkla Media Norway is estimated to be worth several million Norwegian Kroner over a period of some years.

"Orkla Media carried out a very intensive and thorough analysis of the possible vendors that might be able to live up to Orkla's ideas for future news media production," said Jesper Frank, Sales Manager of SAXoTECH A/S. "Based on that, it is particularly satisfying that they chose SAXoTECH. This confirms that SAXoTECH has the right vision and organization to develop productivity-enhancing production systems for the media industry."

The project has been set to start in late November 2002.
