Veteran Digital Media Expert Adds Business Development Insight to Help Publishers Develop and Implement New Business Models

Tampa, Fla. – April 24, 2008 – SAXOTECH today announced a new partnership with Multimedia Consultants, LLC that will enhance the range of business consultation services available to media companies faced with changing business models. Under the leadership of digital media veteran John Fish, Multimedia Consultants will be positioned to help traditional news organizations advance both their content distribution and revenue lines, leveraging multi-channel publishing environments.

Fish brings more than 26 years of newspaper experience to his consulting agency, Multimedia Consultants, LLC, including ten years in upper level management. He previously served as publisher of the The Naples (Fla.) Daily News, and The Topeka (Kan.) Capital-Journal.

Fish has been involved with the Internet since 1993, when as managing editor of the newsroom at the The Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle he led the development of a site devoted to the Masters Tournament – one of the first niche newspaper sites in the country.

The teams he built in Augusta, Topeka and Naples developed into some of the most innovative groups in the country, winning 12 Digital Edge Awards from the Newspaper Association of America and 5 EPpy awards from E&P Magazine.

“John’s experience carries through a wide variety of products, both editorial and advertising driven, purpose-built applications and open source, and over a wide range of channels, including podcasts, magazines, radio and cable,” said Anders Christiansen, president and CEO, SAXOTECH.  “Strong business models are critical, and John has many years of experience in building profitable, efficient business plans for newspapers.”
