Evansville Courier & Press Delivers News with New Scalable, Easy-to-Implement Media Solution
Tampa, Fla. – October 30, 2006 – SAXOTECH, a leading software development and systems implementation company exclusively serving the media industry, today announced that the Evansville Courier & Press has selected the SAXOTECH Editorial™ publishing platform.

With a daily circulation of 66,000 and readers in 21 counties, the Evansville Courier & Press will implement a 67-seat publishing platform as well as an enterprise-wide deployment of Adobe CS2.

“SAXOTECH Editorial was designed with the whole newsroom in mind,” said Richard Hicks, of the Evansville Courier & Press and lead selection committee member. “We considered three major editorial vendors and the SAXOTECH solution provided us with the best overall set of tools for growth, no matter what direction our newsroom takes in the future.”

With SAXOTECH Editorial and the Adobe InCopy and InDesign-integrated SAXOTECH system, the Courier & Press will be able to streamline its business processes in the newsroom and achieve a new level of efficiency, facilitating greater collaboration to plan, create, edit and publish the day’s news. The newsroom workflows will provide an improved overview of production, enabling more efficiency when tracking all elements of a publication.

To enhance the overall publishing process, the Courier & Press is augmenting the base editorial system with add-on components including SAXOTECH’s archiving system.

“SAXOTECH’s all-in-one system made the choice easier for us. We felt we purchased the most complete publishing solution. SAXOTECH has a good history of customer service and this was very important to us because we know we will get the same quality of attention,” said Hicks. “We came away from our decision with the confidence that SAXOTECH would help us now and far into the future.”
