Nationwide Free Daily Newspaper to Serve All of Denmark Using SAXOTECH’s Platform for Print, Online Publishing; and Online Advertising
Aalborg, Denmark – September 11, 2006 – SAXOTECH, a leading software development and systems implementation company exclusively serving the media industry, today announced it has entered into an agreement with the company behind the wave of free newspapers in Denmark.

As the Danish media landscape changes with the entry of free and door-to-door distributed newspapers, Nyhedsavisen – published by the Icelandic Dagsbrún’s Scandinavian subsidiary 360 Media Scandinavia – will produce its print and Web products using SAXOTECH’s platform. Specifically, Nyhedsavisen has selected SAXOTECH’s solutions to produce its printed newspaper, a news agency, online products, and online advertising.

“IT projects – in the newspaper industry in particular – are often too lengthy and defocuses the organization. We have decided to carry out the fastest implementation of a complete IT system ever in the Danish newspaper industry,” said Nyhedsavisen’s CEO, Morten Nissen Nielsen. “We feel very confident about SAXOTECH and their ability to secure a successful implementation.”

SAXOTECH will deliver SAXOTECH Editorial™ for editorial planning, print production and asset archiving with full integration to SAXOTECH Online™ for content management of web products. Nyhedsavisen’s online business model will leverage SAXOTECH’s advanced online advertising management server, enabling the media company to get a real-time view of available online inventory, and providing the tools to intelligently package and deliver online ad packages. SAXOTECH’s system will also provide a solution for the company’s news agency.

In addition, the contract includes a wide range of add-on products, including E-paper from Valuesoft, the Integration X product suite, and Adobe products. The contract also includes maintenance and hosting of the online solution. The solution is to run in a PC environment and includes 100 editorial users.

“The entire initial process is running according to schedule, and we very much look forward to producing the best looking newspaper in the country on the most modern production equipment,” said Morten Nissen Nielsen.

“This contract cements SAXOTECH’s position as the preferred supplier of publishing solutions on our Scandinavian home market,” said Glenn A. Andersen, general manager SAXOTECH. “We have cooperated with Dagsbrún since 2004, when the group’s Icelandic nationwide free newspaper purchased our full product suite. We see the fact that we are now extending the cooperation as a clear result of good products, successful deliveries and not least the good partnership between our companies.”
