E.W. Scripps' Second Largest Newspaper to Deploy SAXOTECH Editorial
Tampa, Fla. – August 2, 2005 –SAXOTECH Inc., a leading software development and systems implementations company exclusively serving the publishing industry, today announced the Ventura County Star – the dominant newspaper in Ventura County California – has selected SAXOTECH Editorial™ to provide its next-generation editorial workflow and content management system for their large newsroom production environment.

This E.W. Scripps six-edition daily newspaper will implement a 119-seat SAXOTECH Editorial system to replace their existing QPS publishing system. Switching to the SAXOTECH platform will empower Ventura County Star reporters and editors to streamline activities and increase efficiencies associated with the daily publication of a major newspaper.

The solution selected by The Ventura County Star will leverage SAXOTECH Editorial’s tight integration with Adobe InCopy and InDesign to create a more collaborative editorial process and help speed production workflow. To enhance the overall publishing experience, Ventura will also deploy a set of add-on components to streamline research, image processing, integration of wire stories and images as well as ad system integration. Additionally, Ventura’s deployment includes the powerful SAXOTECH Archive.
