Gannett newspaper joins growing number of sites integrating SAXOTECH Editorial and Online Publishing Systems
Tampa, Fla. – May 19, 2005 – SAXOTECH, a leading software development and systems implementations company exclusively serving the publishing industry, today announced the Rockford (Illinois) Register Star has selected SAXOTECH Editorial™ as their new print publishing platform.

“The Register Star is the latest Gannett property to see the value of a fully integrated print/web solution and select SAXOTECH Editorial,” said Anders Christiansen, CEO and president, SAXOTECH, Inc. “The addition of SAXOTECH Editorial to their existing SAXOTECH Online implementation will give Rockford a comprehensive publishing solution to distribute news and content to their readers through multiple communication channels.”

The Register Star will implement an 85-seat SAXOTECH Editorial platform as a replacement for their existing Quark based editorial system from SII. Further, since the Register Star’s web site is already running on SAXOTECH Online™ as part of Gannett's system wide adoption of the SAXOTECH online publishing platform, they will quickly benefit from the seamless integration between the SAXOTECH Editorial and Online solutions.

The Register Star is the second Gannett newspaper this year to standardize on SAXOTECH Editorial to manage their newsroom operations, following the St. Cloud Times which went live with SAXOTECH Editorial in March 2005.
