r- SAXoTECH A/S are proud to announce a new customer in the United States. The contract has been made with Rome Sentinel Company, New York, and comprises a total installation of SAXoPRESS for full page editing of "The Daily Sentinel", "The Sunday Sentinel" and the monthly magazine "PrimeTime".
The SAXoPRESS solution for Rome Sentinel Company, which is to replace a CText system, is a complete file based Macintosh version and includes handling of text, wirenews, images, wirephotos, PhotoBooking, QuarkXPress pages, automatic image processing and fully integrated Internet publishing with SAXoPRESS NetNews. The SAXoPRESS solution also contains a complete, integrated, digital archive in the form of SAXoBRS for archiving text, images, and pages.
Sentinel publisher Stephen B. Waters said, "We finally found a cross-platform solution that was full-featured, forward-looking, flexible, easy to maintain and, above all, user-friendly."
Rome Sentinel Company is owned by the Waters family and is situated in the city of Rome in central New York State, approximately 250 miles from New York City. The Daily Sentinel (broadsheet) has a daily circulation of approximately 16,500. The SAXoPRESS solution comprises an editorial staff of 20.
"The project is to be carried out during the course of January and February, simultaneously with the opening of SAXoTECH A/S´ American subsidiary, SAXoTECH Inc., in premises situated in Bethesda, Washington D.C. Consequently, project management, installation, training, and implementation will primarily be carried out by our US staff", says Market Manager Niels Grinsted.
