SAXoTECH and 5 Fifteen Ltd announce plans
for worldwide co-operative marketing agreement
9th October 2000
Today, SAXoTECH and 5 Fifteen Ltd announced the signing of a strategic business agreement, which will create an alliance of innovative publishing software products, offering newspapers and magazines ‘total’ solutions to advertising, editorial and content management systems.
Anders Christiansen, CEO of saxotechonline.comments ‘It is SAXoTECH’s objective to become the preferred supplier of content management software to publishers around the world. We are already heavily involved with newspaper publishers and related markets, but the agreement with 5 Fifteen to supply Maxim advertising software will mean that we can provide all publishers complete solutions to their editorial, content and advertisement management needs, completing our portfolio of offerings.’
Already supplying innovative software solutions for circulation, subscriptions and advertising to the magazine publishing industry, the agreement with SAXoTECH will enable 5 Fifteen to expand its product range even further and, into a new market.
Rod Fenwick, Managing Director of 5 Fifteen Ltd enthuses, ‘Our agreement with SAXoTECH to exclusively resell the SAXoPRESS editorial system and Publicus content management software in the UK, provides us with a solid platform from which to move into the newspaper industry, and achieves one of 5 Fifteen’s key business objectives, that of broadening its market appeal.’
‘There is a great deal of synergy between our two organisations in terms of product range and dedicated technical developments. We’re delighted to be involved with such a professional organisation, and are looking to SAXoTECH to consolidate our business in the United States.’
The agreement between 5 Fifteen and SAXoTECH states that all rights to sell Maxim (5 Fifteen’s advertising software) in the US and Scandinavia rest exclusively with SAXoTECH, offering timely support for 5 Fifteen’s recently appointed US office as well as broadening SAXoTECH’s business interests.
5 Fifteen too has exclusive sales rights in the UK for SAXoPRESS and one of Seybold 2000’s ‘Hot Picks’ winner, Publicus. Rod Fenwick concludes, ‘What is particularly exciting about SAXoTECH is the fact that only last month, Seybold recognised the Publicus online publishing system as one of the most interesting new products and technologies exhibited at the show. In fact the ‘Hot Picks’ were summarised by the editor of the Seybold Bulletin, Patricia Evans, as ‘reflecting our vision of where the publishing industry is heading’.’
